An impressive Howard Miller “Beaumont” grandfather clock, model 610-259, produced in Zeeland, Michigan, during the mid-1980s. Its stately Yorkshire-style case combines oak hardwoods and richly figured oak veneers in a warm, traditional finish.

A deeply carved shell-and-scroll crest crowns the arched bonnet, while turned and reeded columns frame the elaborate brass dial. Applied Arabic numerals, etched floral details, ornate corner spandrels, a subsidiary seconds dial, and a rotating moon-phase display give the clock face exceptional depth and character. The long glazed door reveals three brass-finished weights and a lyre-style pendulum.

The German-made, cable-driven mechanical movement offers a choice of three traditional melodies: Westminster, Whittington, and St. Michael. A manual silent setting allows the chimes to be switched off when desired. The clock plays its selected melody at each quarter hour and strikes the corresponding hour.

Elegant without being oversized, the Beaumont has a slender profile that works well in an entry hall, library, living room, or study. The cabinet retains its original dial, movement, weights, pendulum, and interior Howard Miller identification label. Light wear consistent with age is present, including minor surface marks to the dial and cabinet. Please examine the photographs closely for condition.
